Capture ingress at the speed of DSP
The 9581 SST Return Path Analyzer is the centerpiece of the Guardian Return Path Maintenance System, supporting Trilithic field units and supplying monitoring data to local and remote controllers.
The only DSP-based return path analyzer in the Industry, the 9581 SST is as cost-effective as it is fast and versatile. It can scan the entire ingress spectrum in less than 90 milliseconds (200 times faster than analog instrumentation can), effectively capturing transient ingress bursts that are especially disruptive to telephone and high-speed data services.
The 9581 SST accepts 16 inputs and covers the reverse spectrum from 0.3 MHz to 65 MHz. Because of DSP, these analyzers are unequaled for detecting ingress bursts occurring at low repetition rates. When set to its fastest scanning mode, the 9581 SST rescans all connected test points 80 times per second, making it virtually impossible for any relevant ingress impulses to escape detection.
Each return path unit occupies only 2U (3.5”) of rack space and lets the operator view spectrum data directly on a screen, stream data to the 860 DSPi (R3, R4, and R5) and RSVP² (R3 and R4) field units, or output data to a Communications Manager, which manages the transmission of ingress data to remote monitoring controllers. Upgrading NCM Firmware
- Install NCM Setup version 3.00 or higher on your PC if not already installed.
- Copy the new firmware file NCM_V3_29.FW to your hard drive in the same directory as NCM Setup.
- Connect the NCM to the PC's COM port with the null modem cable provided with NCM Setup or use the network connection. See NCM Setup manual.
- Run NCM Setup and use the NCM Status command to check for proper connection to the NCM. See NCM Setup manual.
- Select the Upgrade Firmware option. Set the Port. If a network connection is being used enter the IP address of the NCM and the administrator password. The default password is admin. Click on the Select button.
- Using the Browse box point to the firmware file NCM_V3_29.FW on your hard drive. BE SURE YOU SELECT THIS FILE.
- The Progress bar at the bottom of NCM Setup will indicate that the NCM is being programmed. When programming is done a message will appear indicating successful programming.
- Wait 15 seconds and Select NCM Status. Verify that the NCM Firmware version is now 3.29. The upgrade is now complete and the NCM is ready for use
Euro AC power cable for Trilithic products. This is a Euro standard 2.5 Meter power cable with a Continental Europe 2-prong plug Male (IEC 884/CEE 7/VII) to 3-pin shroud plug Female (IEC 320C13). Can be used to replace the Euro power cable that is included with the following products: 8300 FST (8 MHz Euro DOCSIS), 860 DSPh with Euro Power Supply, 860 DSPi with Euro DOCSIS 2.0 Modem, 860 DSPi with Euro DOCSIS 3.0 Modem, and 860 DSPr with Euro Power Supply. Can be used as an accessory for the following products: CT-2 (CE Approved), CT-3 (CE Approved), 8310 RSA, 860 DSP, 860 DSPh Input Expander, and 9581 SST R3 & 9581 SST R4.
Six (6) foot CAT5e ethernet patch cable, 100 Ohm impedance with RJ-45 Male to Male connectors.
Optimized for status monitoring in medium to high density node applications and spectrum analysis of the reverse path up to 85 MHz via PCs running Trilithic’s Viewer II software. The 9581 SST R5 provides new combinations of resolution, detector mode and an embedded SNMP agent option while simultaneously supporting return sweep, ingress troubleshooting and continuity testing applications. TraffiControl is included in this release. COMPATIBLE WITH 860 DSPi FIELD UNITS. THIS UNIT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE RSVP² FIELD UNIT.

This is Test Point Manager (TPM) PCB board that replaces a previously installed TPM-8. This only includes replacement PCB board, must reuse original mounting hardware and RF cables.

Repairs
All repairs carry a 90-day warranty against defects in replacement parts and repair workmanship.
Products
All Trilithic products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a minimum of one year after shipment to the original purchaser.
Trilithic's obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product after being returned to our factory, and Trilithic determining the product be indeed defective.
This is Trilithic's sole warranty and is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and sets forth the buyers sole remedy.

Trilithic Broadband Instruments Limited Warranty Terms
Trilithic, Inc. ("Trilithic") warrants to the buyer that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use, operating conditions and service for a period of one (1) or two (2) years from date of delivery based on the type of product as listed above. Trilithic reserves the right, before having any obligation under this limited warranty, to inspect the damaged product, and all costs of shipping the product to Trilithic for inspection shall be borne solely by the buyer. Trilithic's obligation under this limited warranty shall be limited, at Trilithic's sole option, to replacing or repairing the product, or to replacing or repairing any defective part. F.O.B. Indianapolis, Indiana. If neither of the two options is reasonably available, then Trilithic, in its sole discretion, may provide a prorated refund to the buyer of the purchase price of the product, as evidenced by the proof of purchase, less any applicable service fees in accordance with the following schedule:
Product with two (2) year warranty: months 0-3 = 100%; months 4-12 = 50%; and months 13-24 = 25%.
Product with one (1) year warranty: months 0-1 = 100%; months 2-6 = 50%; and months 7-12 = 25%.
Batteries and fans are not included or covered by the limited warranty. Any product or part that is repaired or replaced under this limited warranty shall be covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period which applied to the original product or part, or for ninety (90) days, whichever is longer. All products or parts that are exchanged for replacement shall become the property of Trilithic.
In order to recover under this limited warranty, buyer must make a written claim to Trilithic within sixty (60) days of the occurrence and must present acceptable proof of original ownership of the product (such as an original receipt, purchase order or similar documentation). In order for this limited warranty to be effective, the product must have been handled and used as set forth in the documentation accompanying the product and/or its packaging. This limited warranty shall not apply to any damage due to accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, fire or other casualty. Further, this limited warranty shall not apply to any product which has been altered or where the damage was caused by a part not supplied by Trilithic. Trilithic retains the final decision whether a product is within warranty conditions.
THE REMEDY SET FORTH HERIN SHALL BE THE ONLY REMEDY AVAILABLE TO THE BUYER AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TRILITHIC BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOST REVENUES, LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF USE OF SOFTWARE, LOSS OR RECOVERY OF DATA, DOWNTIME, REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT AND ANY THIRD PART CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF ANY THEORY OF RECOVERY INCLUDING WARRANY, CONTRACT, STATUTORY OR TORT IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF TRILITHIC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, IN THE EVENT THAT THIS LIMITED WARRANTY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, IN NO EVENT SHALL TRILITHIC'S ENTIRE LIABILITY TO BUYER EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRILITHIC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE), WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT OR ITS SUITABILITY FOR ANY USE INTENDED FOR IT BY THE BUYER. TO THE EXTENT ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES MAY NONETHELESS EXIST BY OPERATION OF LAW, ANY SUCH WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
This limited warranty is non-transferable. This limited warranty does not affect any other legal rights buyer may have by operation of law. No agent, reseller, distributor or business partner of Trilithic is authorized to modify the terms of this limited warranty on behalf of Trilithic.
