INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 1, 2012) – Trilithic, an industry leader in broadband test and measurement solutions, announced another first today with its development of the ViewPoint RPM Module. Created for the popular Guardian System II, the ViewPoint RPM Module is the first and only dashboard for reverse monitoring operations.
To be released in October at Cable Tec in Orlando, ViewPoint expands the Guardian System’s capabilities by unifying an entire system’s return data in one easy to use web browser platform. Pulling data from Guardian 9581 SST return analyzers in the field, the ViewPoint dashboard allows MSOs to measure and grade exactly how each area in their system is performing from a percent over the alarm threshold perspective. This allows managers to proactively search for problem areas -- by country, state, city, manager, hubs or nodes – and proactively target them for improvements.
"In the past larger operators had to go into every individual system and pull reports, then compare them," noted Terry Bush, President of Trilithic. "ViewPoint was developed to respond to a critical need for more efficient troubleshooting."
departments within an organization to look at the dashboard with the specific limit sets that they need.
The system is also compatible with smart devices such as iPad, iPhone, and DROID devices for ease of access. This provides technicians in the field the ability to view live active nodes. And for the first time ever, an unlimited number of users can connect from the field to view return nodes, without any side affects to the other users or delay in data captured. Best of all, since everything is browser based, set-up is simplified and there is no costly IT setup required. The web-based platform is scalable for small, medium, and large operators alike.
This integrated system of hardware and software gives cable operators unsurpassed network protection in one affordable, incredibly flexible package. The new ViewPoint RPM Module allows operators to consolidate reporting and get a better view of the overall health of the entire system, and proactively address problems, setting new standards to efficient return path monitoring and management.

About the Diamond Technology Review program
The BTR Diamond Technology Reviews (“the Diamonds”) is a renowned industry program now in its eighth year - that was developed to recognize some of the top products and solutions available to the cable industry as determined by a stellar panel of cable telecommunications engineering experts. Engineering executives from Bright House, Buckeye, Comcast, MediaComm, Rogers, Suddenlink, and Time Warner Cable were among the third-party judges for the 2012 Diamonds. Every year, BTR invites vendors to submit written information about products/solutions that have been released or upgraded since the previous year’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo (November 2011). Criteria used in the Diamonds rankings include, first and foremost, unique technology or application thereof, innovation, ease of use, efficiency, reliability and contribution to profitability.
